Blood is our Life™

Hemerus Medical, LLC designs and develops novel blood collection, storage, and preservation technologies to improve and extend the shelf life of blood and blood products. These technologies are intended to improve patient transfusion outcomes and to ensure high-quality life-saving blood products are available to all patients when and where they are needed the most.  Our technologies are designed as a platform to enable other technologies to foster, grow, and improve patients’ lives.

Hemerus' advanced technologies include LEUKOWEB™ leukocyte reduction media, LEUKOSEP™ leukoreduction filters, LEUP™ processing circuits, and our next generation of anticoagulants and additive solutions for Red Blood Cells (RBC) and Whole Blood (WB):

HEMERUS Advancements

  1. SOLX™ (AS-7) is the world’s first and only 56-Day liquid red cell liquid storage solution with CE marking*.
  2. SOLX™ (AS-7) is the first and only RBC additive for preparation of RBCs from WB held up to 24 hours at room temperature in the United States.
  3. SOLX™ (AS-7) is the first and only manual collection system approved for preparation of plasma from WB held up to 24 hours at room temperature in the United States. 

 

* Currently  SOLX™ RBCs are indicated for up to 42 days of storage in the United States.
